In first photographic work, Vannak KHUN draws both on the belief in numerology and the fact that “today we have all become numbers”. by projecting his telephone number, a bar code on which he inserts the map of Cambodia, or the number plate of his motorcycle on his chest, he questions his identity as well as the situation of Cambodia. -
Resume Born in 1980, Phnom Penh. Graduated in Finance and Banking but has pursued art since 2014. His artistic practice is informed by photography and performance, usually using himself as the subject to propose personal stories and social commentaries. He has participated in photography training at Studio Images of the French Institute and several performance workshops by Sa Sa Art Projects and The Umbrellas of Phnom Penh.
