Contest

Exhibitor/​Kris Kang
Wonder Foto Contest invites well-known photographers, gallery managers and marketing brand supervisors as judges, to interact with photography from different professionals and aspects.

Eligibility

All exhibitors will be automatically enrolled as the contestants of Wonder Foto Contest.

Jury’s Award / One chosen by each jury member.

Prizes

All prizewinners receive an award certificate, prizes or cash offered by sponsor, inclusion in Wonder Foto Award Exhibition, and also chances to attend invitation exhibitions.

Nahoko​ Ando 

Ando Nahoko is the chief editor of Japanese Photographic magazine “PHaT PHOTO” as well as “Have a nice PHOTO!”. She has been working at the editorial departments of PHaT PHOTO since2003. In addition to the magazine, she edits photography books and books related to photography.

Miho Odaka

After graduating from Sophia University Department of English Literature, Miho Okada moved to the U.K. where she earned a Master's Degree from Falmouth Collage of Arts, Institute of Photography. She started her career as an Independent Photographer after working as an Advertising Photography Editor and engaging in art pieces sales and exhibitions at art galleries. She is currently involved in projects such as photography exhibitions, film festival exhibitions curation ,exhibition coordination, artists' management and instruction, writing and other activities that connects Japan and the world in the field of photography. 
Main exhibitions: 2015 Tokyo International Photography Festival (curation), Prix Pictet 2015『Consumption』Tokyo Exhibition,『Photography Now!』(IMA Gallery 2014),『Mario Giacomelli Exhibition―The Black is Waiting for White』(Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, 2013)(coordination), etc.

Shingo Wakagi
Photographer/Film Director/Book Shop Owner.

Shingo Wakagi (1971-) is born and raised in Hamamatsu City in Japan, Wakagi studied at Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences. After returning to Japan in 1996, he has released a number of monographs that often focused on his family and friends in his hometown, including Eiji and Hiro (2015) and The Funeral of Takuji Wakagi (2007). Wakagi is also an acclaimed filmmaker. His debut film Waltz in Starlight (2007) was nominated for the Tiger Award at International Film Festival Rotterdam. His most recent film Asleep (2015), based on Banana Yoshimoto’s novel, was the Centerpiece Presentation at Japan Cuts Film Festival in New York. TOTEM Song for Home (2009) is a moving documentary about indigenous musicians in Taiwan.  Wakagi opened a small bookshop BOOKS AND PRINTS (2010-) in his hometown Hamamatsu City. Bookshop sells collections of domestic and foreign photo books.

Yichiu Chen

Co-founder of Pon Ding, a project space/bookstore in Taipei. Co-founder of NOT TODAY magazine.

Yichiu Chen is an editor with the background in traditional journalism. She is focusing on how contemporary social and living experiences transform via creation. Through interviewing, writing and editing, she tries to figure out the social position where the art stands from.

Diane Zhang Goldberg
​
Diane Zhang Goldberg is an archaeologist and art historian. She earned a Ph.D degree in Paris at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes - Paris Research University.
Since 2013 she is a board member of the French National Museum of Asian Arts - Guimet Museum in Paris.
She is a keen art collector and has been very supportive of young artists in visual and performing arts.

Yoshihiro Taniguchi

Born in 1963, Kyoto. Photographer and photography art collector. Producer of Young artists excavation project "digmeout". Currently the producer and director of gallery cafe "digmeout ART & DINER" and the Art Gallery "DMO ARTS”, also the producer of Unknown Asia Art Exchange Osaka2016, to discover young artists in Asia.
Directs and assigns artists for famous companies advertisement such as FM802, Sony, Nissan, Resona Bank, Nike, etc. He published art books, curates exhibitions in Japan and overseas that aim at connecting “town," “art,” and "people".

Yves Zlotowski

Director of Galerie Zlotowski, which was founded in 1998, famous for its focus on Le Corbusier’s works and European avant-gardes, attracting museums as clients, attending world-known art fairs, such as FIAC in Paris, Art Basel and Art Geneve in Switzerland, he has now become a collector of temporary photography, dedicated in exploring talented photographers of next generation.

Yen-Wen Fang​

Not only a artist, But also searching and building the stage for other young artists and photographers. Thats the reason why wonder foto day be hold.  Also cooperation with SAMSUNG to curation  “URBEX” photography exhibition. Use different angle and cooperation with young artist to research Taiwan.

Anna Yun-Ching Han
​

Anna has a MFA in Photography from Academy of Art University, USA. She currently works as an artist, translator, photography instructor, and business operator of Onfoto Studio in Taiwan.
​
“Butterfly” is the second time that Anna cooperated with NEPO Gallery. This show presents mural prints of both digital and historical process, featuring a strong narrative that triggers a direct and straightforward response from the audience.

Massimiliano Scaglione
​

CEO of Listlab publishers and founder of Blacklist Creative Partners, an international branding agency based in Barcelona. He studied art and design at the Escola Massana, Barcelona, and went on to work and collaborate with the prestigious ACTAR publishers in Barcelona, until 2007.He also directed the design "bookazine" MOM, from 2005 to 2009, and established Crehate, a network of artists and designers that produced exhibitions and events about the arts and design in Europe.

ListLab publishers is an international editorial laboratory with a multidisciplinary approach to architecture, urban planning, arts, photography, and design.

Pahparn  Sirima Chaipreechawit

Born in 1988, Bangkok Based

Photographer, Curator, Producer, Nike Thailand Ambassador, Graduated B.A. School of Communication Arts - Faculty of Films
 
Sirima made her debut into the art circle as the Creative Manager of The Jam Factory where she was also the Gallery Director and the Co Founder/Editor of "The Jam Mag." Magazine. A publication which helps discover new and emerging artists to display their talent and voice their stories. Her goal is to interweave artists from different fields to engage with the public and also to open relations and opportunities with leading brand names such as Sony/ Nike/ Samsung/ Epson etc.

She is also the founder and creator of the “Art Ground” festival, a well known art fair in Bangkok that started in 2016. The movement involved local and international artists. Sirima is also one of the judges in the art fair "UNKNOWN ASIA Art Exchange Osaka" in Japan.
 
Recently she worked with Chamni’s Eye studio, one of Bangkok’s well known commercial production studio, as a Project Manager, creating workshops to further the knowledge in different fields of art, film and production design.

In another role that she is respected for, Sirima is also a Street Photographer member of Street Photo Thailand, a collective group of many talented photographers. Sirima stands out for her Unique Black and White photography, for her, photography is a reflection of her own self; her view and her thought, at the best she could possibly express.
 
She is a well known patron to artists and designers. Her position as an editor connected her to a lot of people which gave her a lot of experience in various types of work, with a goal to push society forward through the power of the arts.
KANA KAWANISHI

Director and curator of KANA KAWANISHI ART OFFICE/GALLERY. Graduated Japan Women's University (Tokyo) and studied at Fordham University (New York) with a B.A. in history of fashion, Kawanishi has served as the Tokyo coordinator and editor for Rizzoli New York since 2006. After working at an artist management/editorial office and an exhibition curation foundation, she founded KANA KAWANISHI ART OFFICE in 2014 and KANA KAWANISHI GALLERY in 2015. The gallery represents works by domestic and international artists who exemplify social and universal phenomena in their own form and showcase exhibitions in their two gallery spaces; KANA KAWANISHI GALLERY located in Kiyosumi Shirakawa for contemporary art, and KANA KAWANISHI PHOTOGRAPHY located in Nishiazabu dedicated to presenting photographic art.

Joanna Fu

Curator and Columnist. Graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Journalism and Information Communication School. Currently living and working in Shanghai, and travel frequently between global cities like London and New York. The Golden Award prizewinning curator of Dali International Photography Exhibition 2015 by curating “Beneath the Surface—Taiwan Contemporary photography Exhibition”. Writes for magazines and newspaper including Chinese Photography, Photo World, City Pictorial, China Life Magazine,ELLEMEN, Pivot, China Photo Press and People Photo, and published “Creating a Solo Renaissance”.
