B02-Pam Virada B.

Windows (v.): To See a Parallel Place

Longing to experience life outside of Bangkok, being able to live temporarily in Seoul was a fantasy turned reality.

By observing the photographs taken there, it is noticeable that the photographer was unconsciously drawn to capture the images of window. Why windows?

Looking through them, the longing for travel and escape can be experienced. Each of the windows that are present in the photographs leads the photographer back to a particular memory of the time it was captured. Thus, the act of looking through them allows her to escape the mundane reality of Bangkok into the parallel place of Seoul within the realms of imagination.
